Did you know Mexico is home to more than a thousand species of birds?

Only 22 of those species are parrots. Sadly, all of these are now officially endangered.

The main causes of this are deforestation leading to habitat loss, the theft of birds from the wild to feed the illegal pet trade, and climate change.

Our mission is to conserve endangered Mexican parrots, parakeets and macaws through breeding programmes, rehabilitation of captive birds, and reintroduction back into the wild, to try and safeguard these uniquely beautiful and intelligent birds for future generations.
